NEWSLETTER - SEPTEMBER 2023

One of the statistics I have recently been given from our Head Office is that 70% of all CAP clients in Scotland have had no option but to go down the route of sequestration. While it gives me great joy to see a number of our clients at the East Kilbride Debt Centre go debt free, we are seeing these statistics being reflected from within. This percentage is a reflection on an increasing number of people that are simply unable to afford to pay debts off in a reasonable amount of time, which I believe is a sign of the times we are living in. Over the summer, we have had 4 clients go debt free which is a testament to these individuals’ hard work and willingness to take back control over their own financial situations. It has been a privilege to walk alongside these people and help them along in their journey.

I would also like to welcome on board our new partner church - East Kilbride Vineyard Church. I recently had a lovely chat with leaders, Joe and Nicky, who I look forward to working with as we continue to strengthen our network within the East Kilbride Community.
